Safeguarding
Safe by design — not safe by policy.
The principle
Most coordination apps create safeguarding risk because they add data: phone numbers, photos, direct messages between adults and juniors. FullCourt's answer is to collect less, not police more.
What we don't do (by design)
- No phone numbers. Anywhere. The input is actively filtered to strip phone-like strings.
- No email addresses. No accounts to create.
- No private messaging between users. Adults cannot DM children through the app — there is no DM feature at all.
- No photo uploads of players.
- No location tracking, no "nearby players".
- No public discoverability of users — match pages are unlisted, link-only.
What we do for under-13s
- Age check on first visit: users tap "Are you under 13?". Under-13s see the app in view-only mode.
- Parental proxy: a parent or coach taps "I'm responding for my child" and enters the child's first name. The list reads "Jamie (via Mum)" so the responsible adult is always visible.
- First names only. No surnames are required, no other identifiers requested.
Captain / organiser controls
- The match owner can remove any participant.
- The match owner can close RSVPs at any time.
- Anyone can "Report a concern" on any match page — reports go straight to us.
Alignment with club bodies
FullCourt is designed to sit alongside — not replace — your club's safeguarding policy and any LTA, FA, RFU or NSPCC CEOP guidance. Because we collect minimal personal data and provide no messaging surface, FullCourt does not create new safeguarding obligations for your club beyond your normal session-attendance records.
Reporting a concern
On every match page there is a Report a concern link at the bottom. You can also email us directly at hello@getfullcourt.com to flag misuse, request data deletion, or raise a child-safety issue. We aim to respond within 72 hours.
For urgent safeguarding concerns about a child, contact:
